Disney hates poor people: NYT Opinion Edition

And this story... three days at WDW for $210. That seems like a pretty great deal:

And throw in some pretty good resort discounts for FL residents:

I'm not 100% sure, but these both seem better than what we've been seeing over the past few years.

MK not included? I wonder how many people visit DisneyWorld without going to MK?? It has to be a small percentage

Welp, this certainly won't help potentially... But there is a quickly growing boycott of all Disney companies following the censorship of Kimmel. It's quickly spreading like wildfire for people to cancel Disney, Hulu, ESPN, etc... With the goal of doing what they did with Target, resulting in nearly 43% YTD drop in the stock.

It seems like the only voice we really have anymore is with our dollars... So that is not surprising. I wonder if it will affect the Disney properties, cruise lines and other "vacation" buckets if momentum continues.

99er:

That cost includes all 4 parks yes? If that is the case, that amount is actually not bad. That comes out to about $387 per park for the year. By comparison, the highest tier pass with no restrictions at Universal (for 2 parks) is $905, which is $452 per park for the year.

Yes, exactly! When you break it down per park, the value makes a lot more sense. Disney’s upfront cost can feel steep, but comparing it to Universal on a per-park basis really puts it into perspective.

Only if you consider DHS and AK to be equal parks to the rest, which they aren’t. AK is soon to only have 6 rides (one of which is a train) and 4 shows. DHS has 9 rides and 6 shows. Next smallest park is Epic with 11 rides and 2 shows but that park just opened so it gets forgiven for having a low count, IoA has 15 rides. AK is a half day park, DHS has chronically long waits due to lack of options. MK and Epcot are amazing obviously, so is IoA. USF (when it’s not in special event mode) is getting dated and needs a little help (outside of Diagon,) but even that park I would value more then AK or DHS. In my typical 5.5 day trip to WDW, 2 days are spent at MK, 1.5 days at Epcot, 1 day at DHS and 0.5 days at AK.

Wait, we don't like shows anymore?

It’s very hard to spend a full day there, even if you do everything. I’m usually quite AKed out by 1-2pm in the afternoon. With the loss of Dinosaur soon, and winter coming (making Kali not appealing to ride,) I could see being done with that park at noon. If you get on the Avatar Rides during EE and rope drop the Safari the only ride you have left will be Everest. Glad it’s not a WDW year for me, Tropical Americas is set for a 2027 opening.
