Zippin Pippin likely to serve its millionth rider in the next week

The Zippin Pippin roller coaster will reach its 1 millionth rider this weekend or early next week. Green Bay spent about $3.8 million to acquire the Zippin Pippin rights and rebuilt it at Bay Beach Amusement Park. It opened on May 21, 2011. The wooden roller coaster was purchased from Memphis, Tenn., where it was said to be Elvis Presley’s favorite amusement park ride.
