Winner of Alton Towers noise suit hears complaints from neighbours of his factory

Churchill China chairman Stephen Roper yesterday won his landmark battle against noise nuisance from Alton Towers, but today families living near Churchill's factory claim they have suffered a decade of misery from site noise. John and Annette Steele have lived opposite the factory in High Street, Tunstall, for the last seven years. During that time they have seen the site expand dramatically. They have also seen a large swathe of factory land sold off to KFC.
