"Public Hearing: Petition of Six Flags Great America for a height variance to allow a portion of a new roller coaster ride to reach a height of 180 feet. (Six Flags Great America is seeking to introduce a new roller coaster attraction to replace the existing *Sky Whirl* ride. Such structures are permitted by right up to a height of 125 feet. Those portions proposed to exceed 125 feet must follow zoning procedures for a variation including a public hearing, pursuant to the Conditional Use Permit in effect for the theme park. Structures may not exceed 310 feet in height, i.e. height of the Sky Trek Tower.)
