Viacom adds responsibilities for Paramount Parks executive

Viacom announced today that Tim Fisher will have expanded responsibilities as executive vice president of Parks, Viacom Recreation. In this capacity, Mr. Fisher will have reporting responsibility for the operations of the company’s domestic and international theme parks, as well as Paramount Parks’ resale, creative and production divisions. Mr. Fisher’s theme park career spans almost 30 years. He started as a rides associate at Paramount’s Carowinds in Charlotte, N.C in 1975. He progressed through a number of management and executive-level positions at theme parks in Charlotte, N.C.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Santa Clara, Calif.; and Sydney, Australia. He also served as the executive producer of STAR TREK: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton, a $70-million location-based entertainment collaboration between Paramount Parks and Hilton Hotels. Most recently, Mr. Fisher was the executive vice president and general manager of Paramount’s Carowinds in Charlotte, N.C. He also managed and coordinated the field activities related to park operations, construction/maintenance and new product engineering and production for all Paramount Parks divisions.
