U.S. Navy looks to amusement park industry for training exercise.

Under a one-time deal with Universal Studios director Marc Watson, US Navy recruits will be part of a three-act scenario on a mock ship when they go through what serves as their final exam before becoming sailors. Navy officials and Watson said the animation and computer simulation used for the theme rides will provide better teaching tools and more realistic conditions for recruits at the new battle stations training area planned for Great Lakes.
