Universal moving ahead with Shanghai theme park

Vivendi Universal's theme park unit said on Thursday it was moving ahead with plans to build a Shanghai theme park, more than a year after deals for parks in both Beijing and Shanghai were announced. The decision comes as a boost for Shanghai, which is also in talks to bring a Walt Disney Co theme park to the city and will host the 2010 World Exposition as it tries to build itself into a top Asian tourist destination.
