The Walt Disney Co. spent more than $1 billion in recent years rebuilding an underperforming theme park in Southern California. Now, though with far less fanfare, Comcast Corp. is doing something very similar in Central Florida. And it reaches its next major milestone today, when Transformers: The Ride — 3D formally opens in Universal Studios Florida, part of Comcast's Universal Orlando resort.
