Oriental Land Co., the owner of Tokyo Disney Resort, is planning a $4.5 billion expansion of the project that includes doubling the size of a fantasy park currently featuring Snow White and Pinocchio rides. The company has begun developing Fantasyland as part of the 500 billion yen, 10-year plan and will also create a new themed port, to be part of the adjoining DisneySea Park, according to Oriental Land, based in Chiba prefecture, a Tokyo suburb. Oriental Land operates the Disneyland and DisneySea parks in Japan with a license from Walt Disney Co.
