The OAC day pass is discounted 50% from regular walk-up admission. From the press release:

Silver surfers have gone rollercoaster crazy as Thorpe Park Resort becomes the first UK theme park to introduce a new discounted pass for pensioners. Old Aged Coaster (OAC) Day Passes have today gone on sale after the UK’s leading theme park saw an increase of 4% in year on year visitors aged 65 and over during the 2015/16 season.

The over 65s OAC Day Pass comes after 87% of 1,000 pensioners surveyed believe there is no reason why they should not be able to enjoy theme parks, however over one quarter (26%) have felt discriminated against due to their age when taking part in leisure activities.

70% of pensioners revealed they actually feel 55 years old or younger, with 95% describe their general feeling as young at heart. Over half of pensioners (54%) believe that life begins at 65 with no work commitments and more free time, with a third (32%) also agreeing that they go on more adventures now than when they were younger.

With 61% of pensioners taking part in an adrenaline seeking activity in the last 6 months, it’s clear that life really does begin at 65. With daredevil pensioners more common than ever, over 3 in 10 (32%) have admitted they actively pursue activities that give them an adrenaline rush and a further 64% have at least one adrenaline fueled activity on their bucket list.

THORPE PARK Resort’s OAC passes will be available between 25th August and 2 November 2016, the offer is not available online.
