About 280 inspectors, insurance folks and park owners poked and peeked at the inner workings of The Hurricane, the Tilt-a-Whirl, Wipeout and eight other rides at Mytle Beach Pavilion. They used one of Myrtle Beach's most recognizable landmarks to brush up on the nuts and bolts of their industry - literally. There was also talk of wheel bearings, lap lockdowns and other mechanical lingo the average park-goer rarely thinks about.
