Westchester County will pay $1.25 million and set up a scholarship to settle a wrongful death civil lawsuit filed by the family of a 7-year-old Connecticut boy who was killed on a Playland Amusement Park ride in 2005. The boy was killed on Ye Old Mill, a meandering indoor water ride, on Aug. 3, 2005. His parents, Robert and Elayne Cassara, filed the lawsuit in state Supreme Court in White Plains.
