The Osaka municipal government is to lend the operator of Universal Studios Japan 3 billion yen to build three new attractions in an attempt to boost flagging visitor numbers, it was learned Thursday. Just over 6 million people visited the Hollywood theme park in Konohana Ward between April and December last year, 2.9 million fewer than over the same period the previous year.
