New York may not have the world’s tallest skyscraper, but it wants the world’s biggest Ferris Wheel. The Bloomberg administration announced Thursday morning it had struck a deal with an investor group named New York Wheel, LLC to build a 625-foot observation wheel on Staten Island that would hoist tourists and visitors to offer views of a distant Manhattan vista.
