In a joint effort with a local firm, Universal Studios will develop a brand new theme park in southern Malaysia. The $800 million dollar park, scheduled to be completed in 2004, will be modeled after Universal's Port Aventura in Spain. The park is part of a $2.2 billion project that will also include hotels, a golf course, and convention center.
