Nashville Valley Amusement Park closes

The Nashville Valley Amusement Park owners, John A. Hobbs and son John C., said yesterday that they've called it quits after struggling for two years. They've put the amusement park's rides up for sale, seeking a total of $1.6 million for the bumper cars, a couple of roller coasters and a nearly 50-year-old Ferris wheel among others. They cite weather and road construction as problems.
