More hurdles face Oz development in Kansas

The mayor of De Soto, Kansas, says that Johnson County should buy the land of a former army ammunition plant and resell it to developers. The current plans are for the Oz Entertainment Co. to purchase the land and build a theme park and resort, while selling the remaining land to developers. Oz feels that they are changing the rules in a process that hasn't gone much of anywhere on three years.
