Supporters of a proposed Legoland theme park in Lee's Summit may have to wait until 2008 if they're to get state incentives they call essential for the $563 million project. Hopes that the General Assembly would approve state supplemental tax increment financing for Legoland have been dashed, at least this session. Rep. Allen Icet, R-Wildwood, said Legoland's request came at the last minute and was too rushed to get approval in the session, which ends May 18. Icet, chairman of the House Budget Committee, said he didn't hear about Legoland until late April -- "certainly not enough time to really vet the project."
