Kennywood makes line-up chances in rides, staff

In the 2003 season, beginning April 26, 2003, Kennywood will unvail its newest area to the park, the Volcano Valley. It includes the Pirate, the Volcano and the King Kahuna. Volcano was formerly named the Enterprise. King Kahuna, Kennywood's newest ride, is a Top Spin. The Volcano Valley will open on April 26, 2003. The new ride, King Kahuna is located where the bathrooms next to Noah's Ark were. They were removed, and new ones were added. Also, the Roll-O-Planes and mini-golf course were removed.

Also new in 2003, The Ham on Rye Theatre, a virtual reality interactive gaming zone. It will not be open until the beginning of May.

Kennywood will extended their Phantom Fright Nights after having enormous success with the event last year.

In the management ranks, Harry W. Henninger will remain as chairman of the venerable family operator of amusement and water parks, while Pete McAneny, who has served since 1995 as general manager of Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, becomes president, the company said Friday.
