IAAPA 2001: Brass Ring Awards recognize marketing

IAAPA handed out its Brass Ring Awards yesterday for the best marketing efforts of the industry.

In the division of parks with more than 1.5 million annual visitors, Six Flags Great Adventure won the outdoor advertising award, with Hersheypark and SeaWorld San Antonio getting the runner up spots.

Busch Gardens Tampa won the radio spot with Hershey snagging the runner up. Six Flags Elitch Gardens and Bonfante Gardens won in their divisions.

The TV commercial award went to SeaWorld Orlando, with Six Flags Houston and SeaWorld San Antonio getting the additional honors. Bonfante and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom were also mentioned in their divisions.

The best Web site went to the West Edmonton Mall, with honorable mention going to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
