Former Marineland animal trainer Phil Demers is denying all allegations made against him in a lawsuit filed by the theme park in February. Demers, a former employee turned outspoken critic of the Niagara Falls tourist attraction, had his lawyer, Kevin Toyne, serve a statement of defence and counterclaim to Marineland's lawyer, Andrew Burns on May 2, according to a court affidavit. The counterclaim seeks $1 million for abuse of process and defamation and another $500,000 for aggravated damages.
