Employee break area goes up in flames at Six Flags Great America

No one was injured in a fire Wednesday at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee that officials said caused nearly $60,000 in damage. The fire, which erupted about 9 p.m., destroyed a wooden employee break area near the park's Grand Music Hall and equipment being stored in the gazebolike structure over the winter.
