A Sheboygan, Wisconsin, couple will make their marital vows from eleven stories in the air while seated on board The Legend roller coaster at Holiday World. The wedding, on May 31, will be performed by an Elvis impersonator.

“Scott Heck asked us about this back in January,” says Holiday World & Splashin' Safari president Will Koch. “He’s a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts and asked if he and his fiancée could be married on The Legend. Who are we to get in the way of romance?”

The wedding of Scott Heck and Mary Reinert will take place on board The Legend wooden roller coaster. The couple’s wedding party will be seated in the “wedding train” which will be stopped at the top of the lift hill, 113-feet above ground. Waiting for them at the top will be Elvis impersonator Bruce Borders, who will perform the wedding ceremony and then a musical number or two. Songs under consideration are “All Shook Up” and “I Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

After taking their legendary first coaster ride as a married couple, Scott and Mary will take a ride on ZOOMbabwe, the world’s largest enclosed water slide.

“Scott and Mary tell us they want to ‘take the plunge’ on ZOOMbabwe in their formal wear,” says Koch. “Guess we can call it the ‘Tunnel of Love’ for the day.”

The wedding will begin at 9:30 am CT. Regular park guests will be invited to witness the nuptials. The event will also be carried on the park’s webcam at www.holidayworld.com.
