A group led by businessman Ed Hart said Tuesday that it plans to submit its plan to reopen the long-shuttered Kentucky Kingdom amusement park through a competitive process outlined by the Kentucky State Fair Board. Hart’s group submitted the $40 million plan for reopening the park to the fair board last week. The fair board, however, voted Thursday to comply with Gov. Steve Beshear’s directive to solicit competing proposals from prospective park developers as soon as possible.
