At first glance, they're just weathered old items salvaged from Crystal Beach Amusement Park. A turnstile. Painted panels from the carousel. A life preserver from the Canadiana. But they represented fond childhood memories and bygone summers for members of the large crowd in the Lodge Auction House in South Buffalo, where dozens of pieces of the former amusement park in Fort Erie, Ont., were auctioned off Tuesday.
