From the mountains of Asheville to the Outer Banks to Charleston, SC, guests can bring their appetites to eat, drink and experience the best of what the Carolinas have to offer at the second annual Taste of the Carolinas food festival at Carowinds. The event runs on Saturdays and Sundays April 9 through May 1. Food booths will open from 11 a.m. until two hours before the park closes.
Guests will be able to purchase and sample cuisine from seven Carolina regions: Asheville, NC/Mountain Region; Upstate SC Region; SC Lowcountry; SC BBQ Region; Outer Banks, NC; Lexington, NC; and Charleston, SC. Plus, wine and craft beer lovers can get a more intimate tasting experience during sampling events with wine and craft beer experts. Foodies can also learn cooking secrets from some of today's top chefs as they host cooking demonstrations. FOOD NETWORK STAR, Damaris Phillips, will kick off Taste of the Carolinas on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. as she gives guests a fresh take on Southern cuisine inside of Carowinds' Harmony Hall. Phillips is the current host on Southern at Heart which airs on the FOOD NETWORK.
What goes better with food, wine and beer than live music! We've got a great lineup of some favorite Carolina artists including the Jeff Luckadoo Band, Tony Barnes and Back Porch Orchestra.
