Bautista Riera, 12, from Argentina, visited Disneyland Paris on November 23 and went on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. After the ride, the boy reportedly complained to his father, a doctor, that he felt sick and was taken to the infirmary. His condition rapidly deteriorated and he was transferred to Paris' Necker hospital for children. His upper limbs were already paralysed upon arrival at the hospital's neurology unit. Paralysis then spread to the lower limbs and the child suffered respiratory arrest before being rushed to intensive care.
