After news of Bonfante Gardens being closed early this season, Michael Bonfante, says that he is extremely optimistic that the park will re-open for the 2002 season. The founder says that they chose to close the park early despite what would be a "marginally profitable" winter, and instead focus on future funding and the development of additional attractions. Season passes will be honored for discounts and admissions to a number of regional attractions, including Six Flags Marine World.
