Amputee victims of Alton Towers Smiler accident sue the park

Two women who suffered life-changing injuries in a roller-coaster accident are suing theme park bosses for damages - more than three years after the accident. Bosses at law firm Stewarts, representing Leah Washington and Vicky Balch, say court proceedings have been served on Merlin Attractions Operations Limited. Leah, 20, and Vicky, 23, were among those seriously injured in a crash on The Smiler ride at Alton Towers in June 2015. They each had to have part of a leg amputated.
