And the Country Crossroads Park in NC plans to build a replica of the coaster. Win win for both states.

Too bad Carolina Crossroads couldn't convince Jerry Couch to sell his John Miller out-and-back!

And then they could build a replica and donate the original to the Columbus Zoo for use in the new Wyandot Lake.
(I can dream)

Every "Clone Coaster" I have ridden (Except the Late, Great Texas Cyclone) has suffered from what I call "The Xerox Effect" as their rides don't quite match up to the origional.

^Perhaps the best example is Twister II. The sign over the entrance reads, "We made it wilder the second time". LOL. Clever marketing asside, Twister II sucks. The original was great. But hey, Knoebel's reworking of the original design is the best of the three, IMO.

Either way, how could it be bad? It's a new wooden coaster. Give it a chance.

Roar II, by all accounts, is supposed to be a bigger badder version of the original.
AV and I will get to decide in about a week... :~P
Besides, I don't really call wooden coasters "clones" for the most part. I just think of them as twisters, out-n-backs, and freeform layout...with a footnote for "inspired by". ;)
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

Other than the Hurlers and the PTC Jr. woodies, I can't think of any cloned woodies. Lots of "remakes", but nothing as clone-like as a Batman or Boomerang clone.
And what Ryan said... The best part is we get a bonus woodie out of the deal.
