Zip Coaster

I was just browsingthe net doing some more research for the water park project im doing right now (yeah im still owrking on it) and i went to whitewater site and just happen to click on the new slides. What i found was the zip coaster. Just go here and you will see where the first one will be going!! And here i am thinking they were getting a master blaster!!http://whitewaterwest.com/Slides/zipcoaster.html

There are no bad coasters, only better coasters!!

That's so cool! i'm surprised the master blaster technology is getting out, i thought it would be stuck in Texas for a long time. The site also does a good job of making other people think that they are original... the advertisement is a little corny :-p

They ARE getting a Master Blaster type water-coaster-slide. The other one is going up at Castaway Bay right at the Cedar Point causeway... and that's the name of it.

This one is going up near by in Sandusky, at the Kalahari Resort, which is schedualed to open in 2005 somewhere in the town. So looks like they are actually getting 2 watercoasters in the general area. Too bad you have to be a hotel guest to enjoy either of them.

How is the water park doing?
Im still working on it. Its kinda difficult trying to get a feel of everything being that i have no real CAD program to use so i just use nolimits and make the whole track in a tunnel to get the feel of an actual slide. I have slowed down on the design being that i just got a new job and school stuff..but im picking back up on it.

How does that work? I think the Master Blaster uses pressurized water to shoot the raft uphill, but that "Zip Strip" looks like a conveyer belt, almost.

The Kalahari in the Dells has an indoor master blaster already.

Certain victory.

The WhiteWater webpage SAYS it's a conveyor belt.
No it doesn't. It says "conveyor," which could be anything.

So face it. :P

While we do have quite a few Master Blasters here in the state, the technology has been out of Texas for a some time now. You can find Master Blaster slides all over the world including Florida, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Alaska, Dubai, & China to name a few.

Do you have to be a guest? The Kalahari resort at the Dells allows a non guest to enjoy the indoor waterpark for a $35.00 admission.

Well, I guess I can't speak for the Kalahari Resort opening up in Sandusky...

...but I do know that the Great Bear Lodge & the Castaway Bay in Sandusky will only allow admission if you are a guest at the hotel.
