Zero Gs

Considering I havent been on Kumba in the past 9 years, maybe I'm out of place, but even with that long period of not riding, and the addition of many more coasters to my list, it still ranks in my top 5. Why? Well because it's not "forceless" as many B&M's now aday's are. One of my favorite, if not my favorite element on Kumba is the zero g roll, which just kind of floats you up into it, then slams you down into your seat, such an amazing feeling, well, from what i can remember ;)
*Slaps hands with MPD47.* Many years ago I watched a coaster documentary that featured an on-ride POV of Kumba's Zero-G Roll. It blew me away & I played it back about 20 times. :) Riding it in person is even better, pure Nirvana.
I like Batman's roll the best. It kinda throws you to the side, which I like. Top Gun's is the same way, but I like Batman's better. Kraken's roll is fun because you go up towards it and right before you enrer it seems liek the track goes steeper. It's kinda hard to explain, you just gotta ride it.
I've only been on one (Raptor) and I didnt feel any weightlessness at all. I only ever sit in the back row all the way to the right, so maybe thats why. It just seemed to whip you thorugh the maneuver violently.

I'm a little confused, I didn't know Raptor had a zero-g roll. Unless you're talking about the roll right after the loop, in that case, I didn't realize that element was a zero-g.

i think B&M inverted zero gs are the best even tho floorless are quite wild
I would like to try one of Intamin's flat zero g rolls, kind of like the ones on Colossus, those look they would give you some incredible airtime!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Volcano. The rolls seem to rotate considerably slower than a B&M, giving you a true weightless feeling. It's so effective, you almost feel like you are going to fall and yet you aren't hanging down into the restraints at all. I always get a small twinge of fear that my keys have fallen out of my pocket.

I'd rate any of Volacano's 0-G rolls the best single element on any coaster I've ever been on.

Skittle: Aint no "almost" feeling like falling out on V:TBC. I *did* fall into the harness. Hence the reason why I will never like that ride.

And I will also take the time here to renew my objection to calling the 'inline twists' on B&M inverts "Zero-G Rolls" as not a one of them that I've ridden (3 Batmans, Raptor, Alpie, TG:TGC, Ice Dragon, Great Bear and the King God of War Montu) felt anywhere close to "Zero"..maybe "Plus Two" (Or + 5 in the case of Batman :)).

But to answer the question, for me it's Kumba without a doubt, followed by Kraken, Medusa, and for some strange reason, the corkscrews on B:KF.

....how can 2hostyl and I agree......is there some sort of atmospheric disturbance today....

and what the h*** is "conspicutively"?

Hulk's Dive Roll was jsut way to slow for my taste. It was still excellent, but knowing how good that element could have been bugs me to death.

And both times I've ridden Volcano I haven't fallen into the harness at all. I bet there is a lot of variance in that respect from day to day, ride to ride. It just seems like sometimes its really cooking around the course, and then others its crawling.

If the shoe fits, find another one.

"conspicutively" = the 'hostyl' spelling of "conspicuously". Damnit I'm an engineer not an engligh teacher :)

Medusa on the left side with a loose otsr is amazing the best inversion I have ever felt. It throws you to the side and its great!

So you like a zero-g-roll right on top of concrete instead of a barrel roll 40 feet in the air over beautiful terrain? Intresting, Top Gun is the crowd favorite of Bay Area and since its zero-g-roll ends with a foot chopper over a midway and a drop into(over, you know) the lake, Top Gun's barrel roll at PGA has been my favorite since 94'
