He makes it clear that the standard was 20 complaints, and nothing about deaths.
I'm not defending the guy or his 100% laughable organization but taking his words out of context and twisting them around is only going to take you down to their level.
Quote from article: "It's very subjective," said Fred Dailey with the Ohio Department of Agriculture. "There are some people who will ride a rough ride and enjoy and others will feel very uncomfortable with a ride like that."
Dailey has confidence in Kings Island to remedy any problems the ride may have.
Sounds like the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture doesn't take the organization very seriously either. I think they realize that his comments are as much an insult to the Ohio Dept. of Ag. who inspects the rides and sets the rules for inspection as it is to King's Island. Don't get your panties in a bunch over it, cooler heads obviously are in the right places.

No they aren't Brett, As long as News orginazations pic up anyone making claims (Undocumented claims even) The parks are under attack and are being blackmailed.
The park kinda blew me off is Jasons Claim. I've never known PKI to do this. They musta had wind of him comming long before he did.
Chuck news companies will pick up a story about me taking a poop if I told someone that my poop might kill their kids. Just cause it appears in the papers or on the TV news doesn't really mean #1 that many people actually see it and #2 it's really a story.(Edit) or #3 that it's actually true.
Everyone and everything that provides entertainment or generally causes people to have a good time, laugh and have fun will at one point or another (or in some cases, every single day) be under attack or blackmailed in some sort of "news" publication or program. That's the way the world works ... if people don't know what you're reporting on, it doesn't sell/get viewers, and most people are familiar with things that we all enjoy.
So, like I said, cooler heads are in the right places (the Ohio DoA and PKI). Who ever said that any newspaper was a credible source of anything but lies?

Chuck
Just to add onto that comment, I've never sent them any information, but I wouldn't put it past them for taking my comments and adding it onto their site.
Thats what I mean, If you didn't give them the comment, how would they be able to use it? Better yet, They use it but don't give it as a source which makes them Libel.
I doubt any GP even know about the ASO and it isn't the group to contact in any injury for any reason. In Ohio it's the Dept of Agriculture, In other states it's other safety orginazations.
I wouldn't worry, its all hot air. Note that Cedar Fair was not mentioned. If it goes another step, watch Kinzel meat slap that talking turnip.
ASO is like the bizarro world of ACE. Park enthusiasts in the media who are mis informed, well, its funny. Anti-parkers, its just plain dis-enchanting. Who hates a park? Who hates rolly-coasters?
WCPO is our Cincy affiliate, I called them this morning to talk about that story. The assignment desk removed thr org. from their contact list, and instead have my number down when it comes to matters like this. Of course, I will probably point them right to Dave.
Ha... I should have explained that better. I am an assignment editor at the ABC and FOX affil's in Columbus. I gave them my number because I can point them in the direction of those who know what they're talking about. That should make some more sense...
That attention whoring jackass is so going to get sued if he keeps making all of these accusations. Go ahead, go to court as a witness for one of the parties suing the park, and see yourself get ripped to shreds since you have no credibility. I'd actually drive to the courthouse to see that.
