DD - If I were to use your criteria, I have no homepark.
SFGAm is more than 30 minutes away from me. It takes me 1 to 11/2 hours by public transportation, and is about 45 minutes depending on traffic by car.
SFGAm is not my first childhood park, and I have no cherished memories of the place.
I don't visit SFGAm more times than other parks in a season.
I don't really care about SFGAm rumors and such. As long as Shockwave ends up at SFAW, I'll be happy. I really think they deserve it now. ;)

DorneyDante:
You use the term "hometown park". I consider the term "home park" and "hometown park" two different things.
"Hometown park" does have alot to do with geography... that's the park in your "hometown". "Home Park" to me is more of "where do you feel at home."
I would venture that most people on this site have a park they call a "home park"... but a good many have none that they call "hometown park" (i.e. there is no park in the near vacinity... not in the same town or even neighboring towns or cities).

Kind of hard to take a post as objective if a park or coaster name is part of the "user name"
My home park is Paramounts Kings Dominion...i have never grown tired of it, i have spent every summer there since i was tall enough to ride the rides, and have watched it just grow by leaps and bounds, especially once Paramount bought the park. Besides, we have Hypersonic XLC, so who could ever tire of that?? :)
My only gripe....we have always gotten the first in lauch technology...we got the first linear induction launcher (along with PKI) in the form of the Flight of Fear..we got the first inverted launcher in the form of Volcano the Blast Coaster and now we got the first air launch coaster in the form of XLC.....As much as i love launchers, this park needs a hyper ! A big HUGE Intamin or Morgan hyper !! But the new Drop Zone at 300 plus feet will make up for it, at least for this season :)

Coaster M and M
Ride On!
Just did a major update on my site, http://www.geocities.com/coaster_m_and_m_18/index.html
*Can't we all just be nice?*
Definately endless love. GAm has an excellent collection of coasters, with a wide diversity. Many people hate the atmosphere that corporate parks have, but I can honestly say that GAm has an enjoyable atmosphere. The park is clean, lively, and has friendly employees among other things.

Thorpe park and Chessington world of adventures are my home parks. Both great for rides even though selection can run out. Heavy investment though means theres something good each year to get me back.
It's great though to go on a rollercoaster every few weeks though so i probably won't get bored of it. Time will tell! It's nice to go aswell to just have a walk round and get on a few rides.

I don't like people who take great big parks for granted.
Well, then you are gonna hate me. My home park is PKI! And it is a bore with a capital "b". ZZZZZZZ.
The park I live closest to is Canobie Lake Park. I love this park. It is a traditional family park. It only has 3 coasters. Yankee Cannonball, Canobie Corkscrew and Rockin' Rider ( a steel wild mouse ). I love Yankee Cannonball. Its airtime rules. Canobie Corkscrew is an Aarow Corkscrew. It only has two inversions. It's good but Yankee Cannonball holds the top spot by far. I don't really like Rockin' Rider. Canobie is endless love.
The park I visit most often is SFNE. It has a collection of 8 coasters. S:RoS rules! It is endless love for SFNE because of S:RoS. B:TDK is an awesome coaster too. So is Cyclone. S:RoS makes SFNE. It would be nothing without S:RoS.

Kennywood. Endless Love.
They could leave that park the same as it is now forever, and never add anything, and I'd still visit it regularly. It is truly a privelege to have such a great park only 1/2 hour away.

I don't really get bored with Dorney, but my usual visit is only 4 or 5 hours, unless we plan on hanging out at WWK. Although I prefer the real thing, it is nice to have a miniature version of Cedar Point so close.

Pink Floyd Fanatic, while I can understand your frustration with Roller, I have no idea why that ride is braked as much as it is, I still have no major beef with VF when it comes to Wild Thing and I have a hard time seeing your POV.
Have any Morgan Hyper built pre Phantom's Revenge run with the Mid Course off after they've been running for a few years?
I've ridden on all the Cedar Fair Morgan Hypers and they all seem to need to have the Mid Course brake on. I wouldn't get mad at the parks, I'd be frustrated with Morgan. Because, obviously, if they're all doing there's probably something messed up with the pre station brakes.
