Your Cedar Fair season pass: Now good at Michigan's Adventure

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

One of the most frequently asked questions floating about the Internet since the Cedar Fair acquisition of Michigan's Adventure has been the question of using your Cedar Fair season pass to enter the park. We dropped a line to Janice Witherow, PR manager at Cedar Point, who confirmed that yes, you can indeed use those passes at the newest member of the Cedar Fair family.

This is great news. Living less than 4 hours from M.A. I can now see getting more use from my C.F. pass.

Finally. Thats the question I always asked...

Wiat, if you buy a season pass at Michigan's Adventure, is it good at the otrher CF parks? Or is it only CF season passes good at MA? I know season passes are only about 100$ at MA.

is my CP pass good there or do i need a CF pass?
You can get into any Cedar Fair park with a Cedar Fair season pass (which is really a made up name). One of these season passes could be from Cedar Point, ValleyFair, Dorney Park, Worlds of Fun, or Knotts Berry Farm. If you have one of these passes you can indeed get into the other parks and Michigans Adventure since it is now in the Cedar Fair family.
The 5 additional water parks in the chain are separate however. These park are Soak City at CP, Knotts Soak Cit in Buena Park, and San Diego, the newly purchased Oasis park (to be renamed) and Oceans of Fun.

$90 a person for a Michigans Adventure season pass? If this was the price before CF took over, than that is a rip-off.

Okay, I understand that my CP SP is good at Michigan's Adventure. What I want to know is will they honor SPs at Timberfest, like they do for Coastermania?
Yeah, but a season pass means nothing at TimberFest.

"You must be a card-carrying member of a roller coaster or amusement park club to register for Timbers Fest 2001. Your membership card will be required for registration and park entry on both Saturday and Sunday."

Your CF pass is good at MA as well as your MA pass at any CF park. MA does have a water park which is included in your admission. This is the reason for the high price of the season pass.

$90 is the price at MA for a season pass...

Wolf is correct...direct quote from the website.

Looks like the new steel coaster is on hold...not for sure. Kinzel said that the new coaster would be erected "sometime down the road". Quote from the Muskegon Chronicle 6/5/01. *shrugs* who knows now. It wasn't clear though if he was referring to the 215 foot hyper for 2002 or the 160 foot inverted. Let's hope for the best on this one.

I wouldn't say it means nothing at timberfest wolf...better do your research...True you still need a coaster club membership to get in but your SP is worth something....:) *** This post was edited by Jeffrey Spartan on 6/8/2001. ***
