Youngstown/Niles bus trip to Kennywood, Monday 8-13

Local radio conglomerate Cumulus Media, in conjuction with the Eastwood Mall, Niles, OH, will be hosting 'Mahoning Valley Day @ Kennywood' on Monday, August 13th.

Admission only $18 for guests who plan to travel by personal vehicle or $25 for guests who desire round-trip motor coach transportation on Monday, August 13th!

For that mere $7 extra in addition to the admission, you get the oppertunity to not pay for any gasoline, not pay any tolls & take a nice long nap in an air-conditioned touring bus, both to and from Kennywood!

....Then, on Monday August 13th, at 8:30am, you can get on the Sutton Motor Coach Tour Bus at the Eastwood Mall leaving to Kennywood!

Sutton Motor Coach will leave Kennywood at 7:30 p.m. to return to the Eastwood Mall.

Those under 18 must be accompanied on the trip by a parent or guardian.

Another good thing -- no need to play that game of Follow the Arrows. Maybe those motorcoach trips might be the way for KW to get more visitors from outside the Pittsburgh area.

Many people in the Youngstown area miss their beloved Idora. KW comes the closest of any of the nearby parks to capturing the type of park experience that Idora privided.

"Sutton Motor Coach"? My, times have changed since my bus driving days. They used to be a tour company that didn't have their own buses. Nice to see private enterprise grow!

Is that the mall that I used to pass going to Idora as a kid, I wonder... that looks like it has a flying saucer on the roof? :)

The Eastwood Mall hosts the Mahoning Valley Scrappers ("A" short season) affiliates of the Cleveland Indians in the beautiful field behind the mall, near Target.

The team has been here since 1999, and claimed the NY/Penn League Championship in 2004!
