You must be 99 years-old to play

Anyelse who bought RCT2 at Target see that when they scanned the game at the register. It said I must be over 99 years old and for the cashier to enter my birthday, like if I were buying cigarettes or alcohol.

Maybe that is corporate Target saying that the game is not supposed to be sold yet? and all these employees are just confused. My cashier got the manager and she was confused and said to ignore it.

I had the same thing happen to me. They actually carded me and had the nerve to tell me that I wasn't old enough (duh!). They stated that I had to be over 21 to buy it (rediculous since it's rated "E"), which I was but the cashier couldn't calculate dates worth a damn.

I really can't tell you why this is happening but when I worked for K-Mart in my younger days we would set up a hold in the computer system so the item would not scan a price until it's release date, forcing the cashier to call the electronics section.

If this (age check) is how Target sets up their inventory for sale, it's obvious to see how everyone is getting a copy right now.
