I read somewhere that Yankee Clipper's new name is Ice Mountain Splash. Is that true, and if it is why would they change the name?

Actually, the more important question is, "Will it actually be operating this year?" I swear, that ride was never open in the last 2 years that I have visited.

Glitch01, this story has come up before and someone even said in a TR that the name has changed. Jed, they would use that name if the ride is sponsored by Ice Mountain water.

Strange...hmm...you are right Chitown, that thing is never running! I remember every time I've been to the park in the past, it was on the list in the front of the park for "Rides not operating today..."

Yankee Clipper has a reduced operating schedule. It opens later in the day and closes earlier at night. They usually open the ride during peak times.

I only rode Yankee Clipper once last year, it's the only water ride at SFGam that doesn't get you soaked.
