X's structure complete at Magic Mountain

Posted | Contributed by Karl DeAngelo

The last two track pieces for X finished an amazing twist, which should serve as a perfect finale for what should be an amazing ride. Testing will begin in a few weeks.

***Why can't all parks have an X?***
I just hope Arrow will trail that prototype like they did with their mega loopers(Viper,Shockwave,GASM) towards the east coast, so some of us here can taste what that ride has to offer.
Wow that ride looks crazy. So the layout, to my understanding, after the drop is: raven turn, bunny hill, turnaround, twist hill, inverted raven turn, inline twist?

Short, but not sweet. Really, really, f***king sweet!!!

Chu man Chu:

You're pretty close on that layout. Actually it's more like this:

Wicked first drop, freakin' humongous Raven turn, bunny hill w/ back flip, turn, half twist with flip, insane inverted Raven turn, half twist and flip, brake run. Oh...and did I mention the hand, head, and leg choppers?

It may sound short but I'm willing to bet it's gonna be VERY intense!
Looking at some of the shots, and indeed some pics of track on the trucks before it was installed, you can see wear marks as if trains have already been run on it. I'm sure this wasn't built out in Utah then taken apart. I wonder why the marks?

I was there yesterday and trust me this thing is HUGE.

Dont Mess with the Neon Love Chicken :)
Just as long as I can use my season pass to go there before it expires at the end of the year. I mean...I'm getting one next year too but...come on.

Am I the only one who used a new picture of X each day as my wallpaper?
No i used them as wallpapers too, but i tweaked em a lil bit with photoshop and made em look even better, but anyways, isnt all the braking on x magnetic?

Hey, if you read by repy by saying, "I hope testin' will begin soon, so "X" will be open BY December." I hope it's open by December, but i'll know it will be open before December. I just want "X" to be open in December, because I'm going to SFMM in December.

I heard that at the arrow facilities they did section tests where they construct sections of the ride and then test it. This could be why you are seeing these wear marks.
Wow, it looks like tha train is gonna straight smack the ground coming out of the second raven turn. But I don't think it will. And like I've said before when I've been follwing this long before landscaping, I'll say it again. 'I can't wait!'
