X's status at MM - CoasterBuzz

Can anyone tell me the current status on X and do you believe it will be open by the August?

According to some on this the ride is scheduled to be dismantled starting in September.

Dismantled? Where did you get that information from?

Welsh - X was recently inspected by the state but there is no word from the park as to a definite date for reopening. The park has no intention of dismantling the ride.

According to my SFMM sources, CAL-OSHA is inspecting the new changes to the rotational mechanism this Friday, the 19th. They expect the ride to open by the end of this month. So, in August more than likely it will be in operation. Possibly one train operation, but operation nonetheless...

Aw....I can dream, can't I? Besides, even if the thing isn't open for my vacation, I believe it will be when I go back to SoCal to mix my record in October. It's nice when a label pays for my fun!

I heard that it was supposed to be open by the end of the month, like what Chris Godsey said. I hope its open when I go back to So-Cal in September, maybe I will get my 3rd ride in on X.

Ha! dismantled. i think any park would let a ride that atracts 5 hour lines sit sbno longer than a couple months before the dismantled it.

It's not inverted...

Right, the tophat is inverted.

It is to an inverted top hat. A genuine tophat is like that on Mr. Freeze. It goes upside down. Xcelerator's goes right side up. It's an inverted top hat enen though it does not invert you.
