X's Media Day Gimmick

Tuesday, June 26, 2001 6:38 PM
Well, I know SFMM was planning on having a bunch of twins for Deja Vu's media day, but what do you think that they'll have for X? Ex-spouses? Ex-Friends? Ex-park employees?

Tapian had posted this a while back. I told him the crew of X-tra will ride it.

I still think the train of Davids was incredibly clever for the opening of Goliath.

I2K: that's X-actly (horrible pun) what I was thinking, have a former "Chain Gang" out on the ride.

Plus I thought I was the only one who watched 'Red Dwarf'

X-rated movie stars, since the industry is based in the San Fernando Valley, about 20 minutes from SFMM.

...except for david arquette. That guy is retarded. If I was on that ride I would have thrown my shoe at his head. Did anyone else see that footage of the ride when he was on it?

(What's sad is the fact that many Americans wouldn't/don't understand the kind of comedy Red Dwarf showcases. A lot of the jokes have historical references, which just goes right over a lot of people's heads here in the U.S. Monty Python has the same problem. I mean, not many people on this side of the Atlantic can really appreciate the value of Cardinal Richelieu's impersonation of Petula Clark singing "Don't Sleep In The Subway."

My history teacher last year hit the nail on the head: "We learn history so we can get the jokes!" ;)

Sorry for going
really off-topic here, but I thought it was worth pointing out. :))
