X's drop now complete

Posted Saturday, June 30, 2001 7:19 AM | Contributed by RRcGoose

As of Wednesday the entire drop for X was complete with supports for the rise up into the raven turn awaiting track. Deja Vu still sits and collects dust, ruling out any chance of opening for July 4th.

Wow. Arrow has really pulled out all the stops on this one. That drop alone could make this one a top 10 coaster. Now if we could just get around to getting one of these on the east coast.

I heard that a television crew was at SFMM covering the construction of the ride this past week. I understand it was for the program called "fun!" which will air on July 4, at 3:30pm on KCAL 9 in Los Angeles. Does anyone know if they will be talking about "X" on that program?

Even the colors of the track, which I thought looked horrific at one time, really fit this coaster now. Nice job Arrow.

Does anyone know the odds of it opening by August 6th, also when will Deja Vu be ready?

August 6th........hmmmm..........I seriously doubt it, unless the park gets their act together IMMEDIATELY as soon as it is ready for testing. Heck, with a lift that big, they should be sendin' trains up a week before the circuit is complete!!!!!

To Jephry and VOLLEYGUY:

Sorry about that - I should have worded my question like this: "Do you think that "X" will be featured on the episode on July 4?"
