XP Compatability

The demo runs very slow on my XP box, but not on my Win2K box.

Is this a known issue with the demo, or can I expect the full version to do the same thing? Anybody out there running it on XP?

I don't know...I'm running XP with the full version of NL, and it works just fine.  The demo ran fine too.  Are you running it in compatibility mode?  If so, that may slow it down.  Make sure you have updated video card drivers on your XP machine.  I only have a P2-350 w/ GF2MX, 320MB RAM, and I get an average of about 30fps, and slowdown to about 15fps during busy sections, and while it's not silky smooth, it's certainly playable.  That's at 1024x768 32bit, best detail, best shadows.

Once I opgrade my processor and MB, (only 2 months!) I'll be flying in style!

I had problems with my Voodoo3000 and XP.  I was getting 1-2 fps with the full version.  Since 3dFX went under there is no support for XP.  I would suggest if you're having problems to look for new video drivers.  If you're in the same boat as me, a GeForce2 MX400 w/32mb is a nice solution :)

That's what I have as well. These things can be had for about a hundred bucks folks. You don't need a $300 top-of-the-line GeForce 3 or anything.
