Good, AW needs some good CCI wood. Just pray that it's not a clone of Twisted Sisters. I heard that ride sucks.

Uhh, well I hate it when people say that. I am not trying to jump on you or anything but I know its no SOB or Boss but its good for just an oridnary woody in my opinion! The creators of it did not try to break any records or anything, maybe thats why you heard it sucks. But belive me. Its a good ride! :) Just try it!
I personally wouldn't shed too many tears over the loss of XLR8, out of all of them, this had to be the weakest one of the bunch. I think Arrow was being ultra conservative when they did this ride, after the Bat fiasco. Very, VERY slow, no fast drops, barely swings out on the turns, I nearly fell asleep on it. Even as bad as Draggin Iron is, at least it has it's moments. But on XLR8, you ride the whole way waiting for something exciting to happen, and it never does.

Glad Swartzkopf was the original designer for BBW, otherwise BBW might have been another snoozer like XLR8, considering Arrow built them both at the same time. But I agree Craig, I love these rides and wish they'd make a comeback in a big way. *** This post was edited by Draco on 8/24/2000. ***
I'm sure this is old news here, but CCI let it slip at IAAPA last November that they were building a coaster for AstroWorld. It was painted right on their booth wall. Of course that was almost a whole year ago, and we are talking about Premier Parks here.....

They Might be tearing it down or fixing the trains.
I dont know if there's something wrong with me, but i think arrow suspended coasters are awesome classics. I love em. My best friend was telling me about 1 in japan called "Hayabusa". Cool stuff
I'm afraid we will never see that style coaster reach its potential. BGW, PKI, and CW proved that kind of coaster can be great. I can't tell you the number of people (plain folks, not coaster geeks) that say that Top Gun at PKI is their favorite coaster except that it is too short. If someone took designs like Big Bad and Top Gun and gave them 5000 feet of track, I think they would have an instant, and long lived success on their hands.
