XLC at PKD

I read somewhere that PKD is changing the seats on XLC. I was wondering if any of you have heard anything about it. I'm not sure what type they would have changed to.

The seats are great as they are. I don't see any reason what-so-ever for them to change them.

They DID change from 2001 to 2002. Mostly just the seats got wider and a little taller. That and the nose of the train got shorter, and they took off the windshield. Other than that, there havent been any changes, and I dont think there will be. The only change I can possibly want is for them to make the move toward getting a 3 train op up and running full time. I have seen it done, and I wish they would keep it that way.

Over at screamscape it does indeed say that XLC will get seat modifications. I'm curious.

Yes, they got new seats on Hypersonic. Check them out at www.pkdplace.com . I've already submitted it to news.

Yeah, THey got rid of the ugly Par that prevented your arms from going back. we have pics of the cars on www.thrillnerds.com

The only pics I saw of the "new cars" showed them covered by a tarp so you can't really see much in the way of anything.

BTW RCTFan,that was some great coverage of SD:HM's construction over at PKDPlace.com ,it seems like the ride is coming together really well(although I still might pass on it) & some of the other off season work was interesting to see as well,namely FOF's rehab work.

it is hard to tell but they are deffnately new seats.. the old ones were huge.
