I haven't heard anyone mention this but does the top-hat sway like the spikes on the impulses do?
I imagine they do because if they couldn't they would snap.

Just for the record, SUF tested without a complete station.
I don't see how this ride will make the opening date. It is a new coaster launching concept to my knowledge. The first uses of LIMS didn't turn out to well with Superman or Volcano; I'd expect some heavy delays with Xcelerator too.

What Xcelerator has going for it is that Intamin built a rocket coaster at their test facility using the hydraulic launch. So, the hydraulic technology has been tested to some extent.
This was not done with Superman: The Escape and was done on a tiny scale with X.
Of course there is always the factor of testing something in a real world situation...
