Xcelerator restraints. Intamins owner confirmed...

Why are so many people saying there going to get otsr's after the owner of Intamin stated it would just have a seatbelt/lap bar? And he even said this after the women fell out of Perilous Plunge. They BETTER only have lapbars/seatbelts, because not only it take away from your view, but imagine going up/down and turning, thats GOT to hurt!

This is Intamin, don't worry about roughness. Obviously you haven't been on California Screamin, an Intamin with OTSR's. This ride is just perfect, and as far as smoothness goes, its one of the best!

Just because Sandor said it would have lapbars doesn't confirm everything. Seeing that the ride wasn't even under construction at the time, Knotts has had plenty of time to change their minds.

Acutally I have been on Screamin, and thats just a continuous with a loop, and that doesnt bother me, but what about Xcelerator with them is that your going up and turning at around 70 mph, and you gotta bang your head on them, if you do have otsr's

Screamin' is a vekoma isn't it?

Edit: Never Mind it is an Intamin isn't it.

Screamin is an Intamin.

Okay, you have been on Screamin without a problem. Now, have you been on an Impulse?

Intamin Impulses have the same style of twists, except probably a bit meaner than Xcelerator's.

There is NO way that you will be going 70 MPH at the top of a 205 foot hill. The top speed is only 82. It will lose a lot of speed on the vertical hill, but get it back again with the second vertical drop. I may be unqualified to say so, but it will probably be going 30 or so at the top of the hill.

Therefore, Wicked Twister or any other Impulse takes the twists at a much higher speed....

The Twists I saw pictured there are exucuted perfectly where the train twist at your center of gravity. Therefore it should be any hard headbanging with OTS if it would of had them. I saw the Impulses and they twisted around your center of Gravity too.

I guess it kind of depends on what they end up doing with Perilous Plunge. If the state, lawers, whoever makes them get a certain kind of restraint system, they'll most definately say that XCelerator should get the same kind of restraint.
