Xcelerator Launch

I've been looking at this picture http://www.westcoaster.net/photo.php?img=042002/042002-kbf025-lrg.jpg at westcoaster.net and I'm trying to figure out exactly how the launch works. Does anybody know? Will it be loud? Also, do people think that it will take long to load the trains, or is the loading and unloading process simple? If they can get people on and off quickly then capacity should be pretty good concidering how short the ride is. Is there a predicted People Per Hour?

As for loading it should not be a problem at all. The trains and restraints are exactly the same as Millenium Force.

That picture really allows you to see the incredible size of the launch equipment.

Yes, 1300pph with two trains, 5 cars each for a total of 20 people per train.

i think that seatbelts, although neccesary, will greatly slow down the capacity. if they get ghostrider's operators to run the ride, the coaster will only get like 500pph. if they choose people who run supreme scream and bommerang 9they disbatch the train in like 30 seconds) now, then they may get up to 1200pph. i hope they get seatbelts that work, unlike the ones that most of the rides have now. if the park assigns seats, then the capacity will be increased by at least 80pph.

just hope they don't have the same seat belts as MF, it takes 'tards 5 minutes to figure out how to put the friggin seat belts on, getting them off is another story:(

All Intamin Hypers have the same belts including the brand new Goliath, so I am sure this wont be any different.

Same with S:ROS at SFA. Anytime I unhooked half the trains seatbelts at the end of the ride because people could not get out of them!

The cable drum looks similar to the ones used on old Schwarzkopf flywheel launch shuttle loops.

As for Xcelerator's Launch...It is pneumatic. Meaning that that big thing witht he hoses will use pneumatic pressure to drive the cable drum, creating a launch similar to the ones on. derp. Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loops

No, it's not pneumatic, it's hydraulic. Like what has been pointed out, check the search function on this topic. It has been thoroughly covered and explained.

what words did you use to search 'cause I searched ten pages of "Xcelerator launch" and "Xcelerator launch system" and found nothing but crap.
