looking at the length of the track, and with it being a launch coaster, there can't be that much room for more than two trains... anyone know how many they'll be running?

I think if all goes well with Parlous Plunge (made by intamin, so is Xcelerator) it should only have lapbars, or a type of restraint like on Hypersonic, where its on the shins, knees, and lap, and like all Knott's rides, a seat belt
Xcelerator will have trains and restraints just like Millie if I am not mistaken.

I would concur on the MF restraint system being implemented on XLR8R. Not that I have any info, just a hunch. ----------------- My other car is a Giovanola!
How many cars/riders per train?

Oh yeah, that's right. Someone said it would be 16 riders as the front & rear cars would only take 2 each. Bonnet for front & boot with tail fins for rear.
