Thats going to be one ill adrenaline shot, actually maybe a few shots considering that this baby will be speeding about at maybe 70 mph for most of the ride. The speed and overbanked turns seem kind of similar to that big blue intamin coaster in ohio ..:)

how lucky are Cali peeps? X and this all in one year... I usually never call people spoiled but i think i can use it now for all those cali riders!!

That station kicks ass.

I agree the station looks very kick ass. I have a question for all the Knott heads out there. Does Knott's have a Coasters? And if so is it by the area where Xcelerator is going to be?

Also I have to say big up!! to screamscape, love them or hate them, (personally i love them) they always seem to recieve some nifty stuff before most of us. Going to Cail for sure nect year!!

P.S Knott's doesn't have a coasters restaurant like most other CF parks.

ValleyFair Fan, yes Knott's has a Coaster's and it is real close to where Xcelerator is going. The Coaster's is north of the Perilous Plunge and west of the Observation tower, it will be a little to the south of Xcelerator.

Wow, the launch looks fun. Are those two turns all that it will have? I knew it would be short, but that looks like it would only be about 1200 feet, far short of 2002. The first climb and drop after the launch looks similar to an element I designed on an Intamin hyper ride in No Limits. And in that ride, it proceeded to make to highly banked turns and then ended. What a coincidence. Xcelerator doesn't seem to go with a 50's theme. I mean, the car racing and stuff does, but something about X seems futuristic, not old fashioned.

Awesome, I also built a coaster that looked similar to this in No Limits a couple weeks ago just for fun but now to actully see something like it being built was unbeliveable. At first I was wondering how the 50's theming would go with the name Xcelerator but after looking at the concept drawings it looks like it will go great. A couple weeks ago I wasn't sure if I was going to hit CA next year but now this coaster has almost made CA a must visit with Xcelerator and X

Okay, where do we get inverted at. If I am looking correctly you go into the first hill sitting down. Is this coster inverted or something?

Wow. This is a little different than what I had been hearing.

Now, this is only concept art. THere isn't even a queue line pictured.

THe theme looks incredible. I hope it really does have the cool trains and station. Plus those 50's cars sitting in front of it look great!
